The conference will celebrate the achievements of scientists associated with Uppsala including Linnaeus, and Elias Fries one of the founding fathers of mycology and professor in Uppsala. The achievements of famous mycorrhiza researchers associated with Uppsala, such as Elias Melin and Erik Björkman will also be recognised in a display of material to be presented at the conference.
